I always came here when in the Fremantle area for a coffee when it was called The attic. Now under new ownership. The first thing I noticed was the barista ladies were either very busy and under a lot of pressure or just unhappy. The welcome was terrible. I decided to give it a go anyway. Once I got upstairs the service from the wait staff was excellent I ordered a cafe latte and some zucchini avocado egg toast thingy. The flavour in the food was perfect and the coffee was also perfect. I’m glad I didn’t walk away. Baristas add a smile to your dial and this place will be 5 star

We enjoyed our breakfast at Good Things but expect a long wait for drinks and food. Coffee was good. Hotcakes were yummy and the focaccia is amazing.

Good food, pancakes a a bit small but the toppings are great. Cheesy beans are amazing and the English muffins are fantastic. Great upstairs seating.

The hotcake is truly amazing! As an Asian, the highest compliment I can give is that it makes me feel like I’m in Japan. Fluffy, soft and perfectly cooked I can’t wait to try the other dishes next time!” The waitress on the second floor is also hospitable and lovely. One small pity is that the air is a bit smoky and greasy from the cooking.

I absolutely love going to Good Things. The food is always so good, the services is impeccable and the atmosphere is so chilled. It’s one of my favourite cafes to go to. Also the coffee - amazing!

Really cute place that looks like there’s only a couple of seats out the front but actually has a second floor with a spacious dining room. It’s a lovely old building with lots of brickwork and interesting stained glass windows to look at. The menu is small, but everything is very well considered. We started off with coffee and Portuguese tarts. The tarts were lovely and crispy and the custard was very rich and fulfilling. The coffee was great too. We ordered the chorizo and beans, and the cibur eggs. Both dishes were large and generously portioned, flavouring, and fulfilling. There was good use of acid, salt, texture and brightness. The service was a little slow, but they were quite busy. So that is understandable. Whomever is the pastry chef there is doing a great job!

I have to come back to this place and try more than just their coffee. I had an iced long black and it was a good one. Their counter treats look amazing. The menu itself looks right up my alley for a brunch made in heaven. Very cool location too.
